This weekend is the Super Bowl, so you know what that means...Animal Planet will be broadcasting counterprogramming in the form of Puppy Bowl VI. Meet the starting line-up. And don't forget about the kitty half-time show. My favorite part is when the announcer says, "Hellooooo kitties!" You won't even care that the rest of the world is doing something else.

It's Groundhog day. Puxhatawney Phil saw his shadow. It's gonna stay cold. Blah! Blah! Blah! The big news is the Oscar noms. It's my favorite early morning of the year. I got up early and had tea and a blueberry muffin in bed while waiting to hear who was going to be in the running this year. Next to Christmas, Oscar Nom day may be my favorite holiday. Actress Anne Hathaway joined the AMPAS President to make the announcements. The 82nd Academy Awards will be held March 7. Why yes, I do have it marked on my calendar. Don't you?
